The main corporation of Vietnamese chemical industry at present cannot satisfy the domestic demand, and the product quality level still has the very big disparity, massively importing from the overseas chemical industry, so many overseas transnational chemical companies such as BAYER, BASF, AKZO-NOBEL had set up the office in the Ho Chi Minh city, and the Chinese fine chemical industry enterprise should use the present product price and the technical superiority to enlarge the Vietnam's exportation.

The industrial raw materials imports maintain high speed growth, in the first half year of 2005, Vietnam already imported all kinds of industrial raw materials from China amount to 421 million US dollars, grew 53.15% comparing to the last year; Vietnamese organic synthesis level comparatively backward, the industrial raw materials and the product production will be far unsatisfied to the home industry development the demand, so the Vietnamese government enlarge -the chemical industry investment in the following five years.
