Vietnam is top of the list of potential and attractive locations for investment in Asia. Vietnam joined the World Trade Organization in January 2007 following more than a decade-long negotiation process. Vietnam became an official negotiating partner in the developing Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement in 2010.

Vietnam is one of the fastest growing Asian countries in recent years and a star in the economic field. In recent years, Vietnam's chemical industry has been growing at an astonishing annual rate of 12%. The Vietnamese government has approved the "2030 Chemical Industry Development Strategy", aiming to achieve a growth rate of 10-11% in the chemical industry by 2030 and set its sights on 2040. According to this strategy, more and more domestic and overseas resources will be gathered towards the chemical industry in Vietnam to meet domestic demand and the requirements of regional and global economic integration. Vietnam is an important market for China's chemical product exports, and the trade volume of chemical products between China and Vietnam has grown rapidly in recent years.

The Vietnam International Chemical Industry Exhibition was successfully held since 2004 for more than 19 years, sponsored by Vietnam Chemical Corporation, VietFair and CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) Sub-Council of Chemical Industry. After nineteen years of development, it has become the brand of Vietnam Chemical Industry Exhibition, and only chemical professional exhibition in Vietnam. Not only promoting the export of other countries’ enterprises but also driving the development of the chemical enterprise of Vietnam, the exhibition promotes the exchanges in the field of Vietnam and other countries related, promote chemical industry trade cooperation.

The Vietnam international chemical industry exhibition had been held on 27-29 Nov, 2024 in SECC Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam's deputy minister of industry, deputy director of the Vietnam plant protection bureau, vice-chairman of Vietnam coating and ink association attended exhibition opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony was well welcomed by visitors and exhibitors. Deputy Minister of Vietnam Ministry of Industry, Deputy Director of Vietnam Plant Protection Bureau and Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Coating & Ink Association all presented and gave speech on the opening ceremony.

The 19th Vietnam International Chemical Exhibition and the 21st China (Vietnam) Chemical Exhibition, attracted 400 enterprises from countries and regions such as Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, and China, with an exhibition area of nearly 9000 sqm. The three-day exhibition received nearly 12,000 professional visitors from 31 countries and regions, including Australia, the United States, Japan, China, Korea, India, Malaysia, Cambodia,  Thailand, and Vietnam etc. , focuses on many main product groups such as agricultural chemicals, industrial chemicals, chemicals for the textile dyeing industry, food technology, machinery and equipment, rubber, and adhesive tape, coatings.
