VIETNAM MARKET

With the continuous development of the economy, coatings companies attending CHEMVINA in recent years were more and more, enterprises focus on the aspects of paint and coating raw materials, many customers were interested in colors chemicals, especially for plastic and rubber products.

 

Several years during the fair, we organized several exhibitors to visit Vietnam ink and coatings association and related local coatings enterprises, the exhibitors reflect well, vice chairman of Vietnam's paint and ink association introduced industry status, and discussed with coatings enterprises.

 

Background:

Since 1993, Vietnam's economy gradually entered the track of fast growth, annual growth rate as high as 8%. The Asian Bank estimates that Vietnam will become one of the fastest developing speeds in the Asian economy.

 

At present, Vietnam took more efforts in infrastructure such as roads, railways, and hydropower station construction and alterations of residential buildings in main cities. Vietnam government statistics show that investment in infrastructure and construction increases year by year, from $23 billion in 2008, with $26.5 billion in 2009, with $31 billion in 2010, the average annual growth of 16%; recent two years the new building generally use paint, building materials industry construction market prosperity to Vietnam brought great business opportunities. According to Vietnam's construction ministry, the country's building materials industry has great development with annual growth of 17% , Vietnam has rank the rapid development nations of national building materials.

 

Now Vietnam has about 100 large-scale coating enterprises, but most of the enterprise featured backward production technology, and product research and development ability is insufficient, the market competition is generally weak, high-level products still need to import to meet the local demand. Since 2001, China's production of coatings and paints enter the Vietnam market rapidly. many Chinese companies invested in Vietnam coating production. In 2008, many countries affected by the global financial crisis, but Vietnam was very impressive by its coatings industry, coatings output from 240000 tons in 2008, growth in 2010 to 280000 tons, the annual growth of about 5%.

 

High-speed growth of Vietnam has also attracted the attention of the international giant coatings companies.
